#1 Best Seller: JFK: 50 Days, 2011-2012 (7 weeks)
Nomination: Focal Award, "Best Documentary," 2012
Special Commemorative Edition: 2018, by the Associated Press
This three-volume series started as a single title, JFK Day by Day in 2010, copublished with Running Press. Next year, NBC News released a derivative title, JFK 50 Days, a trailblazing video-enhanced book. David Gregory, then-show host of Meet the Press, provided the narration. It was the very first video-enhanced book app for Apple and android devices. It was a celebrated title, not just because JFK was one of America’s most charismatic presidents, it was something readers had never experienced, a book that came alive with video with the tap of the finger on the page. Yet another derivative title, JFK: A Chronicle of the White House Years, was published by AP Books, an arm of the Associated Press.
